JULIE MANUS
Director, Presidential Fellows Program

Julie Manus is the Director of the Center's Presidential Fellows Program, a year-long experience for 85 select graduate and undergraduate students from schools across the nation. She plans two annual conferences during which these future leaders meet with journalists, Presidential scholars, and influential policy-makers. Julie communicates with the participating colleges and universities throughout the year and advises them in the annual student selection process in the Spring. She is also responsible for the development of a growing Fellows Alumni Association and edits the yearly anthology of the 20 best papers written by the Fellows on subjects relating to our Chief Executive. In addition, Julie serves as co-coordinator of the Center's internship program.

Prior to joining the Center, Julie worked in character education at a Los Angeles non-profit organization coordinating ethics trainings for teachers, coaches, law enforcement professionals, and public servants. In 2004, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she received the Student Life Prize for Citizenship and Integrity and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Julie has managed scholastic and cultural programs, serving as the academic coordinator for Brandeis' freshman orientation program and obtaining a fellowship with Hillel International, where she engaged unaffiliated college students in order to increase their involvement in campus life.
